AbstractThispaperpresentsasystematicalstudyonpoly-automotive,electronics,andmedicalindustries[2].However,
crystallinediamond(PCD)toolperformanceduringhigh-duetothepresenceofhardSiCparticlesinthealuminum
speedmillingofhighvolumefraction(65%)andsmallsizematrix,machiningSiCp/Alcompositesisencounteredwith
(nominalsize10μm)SiCparticle-reinforcedaluminum,extremelyrapidtoolwear,therebyincreasingtoolcostand
whichisrarelyreportedbefore.Theinfluenceofmillingaggravatingthesurfaceintegrity.Thesematerialsareclassi-
parameters(millingspeedandfeedrate)andPCDparticlefiedasthedifficult-to-machinematerials.Althoughmany
sizeontoolwearwereinvestigated.TheresultsindicatedthatengineeringcomponentsmadefromSiCp/Alcompositesare
thetoolwearincreaseddramaticallywiththemillingspeed,producedbythenearnetshapeformingandcastingprocesses,
anditwasnotsuitabletomillthematerialabove300m/minfinalmachiningandfinishingprocessesaregenerallystill
fortheindustrialapplication.LargerfeedratecouldachieverequiredtofabricateaMMCcomponenttothefinaldimen-
largerremovedvolumebeforeVCreached0.6mm,whilethesions[3].Therefore,awidespreadindustrialapplicationof
patternreversesintermsofmillingtime.TheoptimizedPCDSiCp/
