Abstract:
Inmanyindustrialprocesses,gas-liquidtwo-phaseflowwithbubbledynamicsplaysacrucialrole,suchasinchemicalreactors,bubblecolumns,andmultiphaseflowpipelines.Understandingthestabilityofsuchsystemsisessentialforsafeandefficientoperation.Thispaperpresentsanumericalalgorithmforanalyzingthestabilityofgas-liquidtwo-phaseflowbyconsideringthebehaviorofgasbubblesintheflow.Thealgorithmemploysacomputationalfluiddynamics(CFD)approachcoupledwithbubbledynamicsmodelstopredictthestabilitylimitsofthesystem.Theaccuracyandefficiencyofthealgorithmaredemonstratedthroughaseriesofcasestudies.
1.Introduction
Gas-liquidtwo-phaseflowisacomplexphenomenoncharacterizedbythepresenceofbubblesintheliquidphase.Thestabilityofsuchsystemsreferstotheabilitytomaintainastablegas-liquidflowwithoutexcessivebubblecoalescenceorbreakup.Stabilityanalysishelpsinoptimizingprocessconditions,preventingoperationalissues,andpredictingpotentialhazards.ThispaperproposesanumericalalgorithmthatcombinesCFDwithbubbledynamicsmodelstoanalyzethestabilityofgas-liquidtwo-phaseflow.
2.MathematicalModel
