Abstract:
Thepresentstudyfocusesonthepredictionoficeresistanceforpolarshipsusingnumericalcalculations.Theabilitytoaccuratelyestimateiceresistanceiscrucialforthesafeoperationofshipsinpolarregions.Thispaperdiscussestheimportanceoficeresistanceprediction,reviewstheexistingresearchinthefield,andproposesamethodologyfornumericalcalculation-basediceresistanceprediction.Theproposedapproachconsidersvariousfactorsthatinfluenceiceresistanceandemploysadvancedcomputationaltoolstosimulateiceinteractionswiththeshiphull.Theresultsdemonstratetheeffectivenessoftheproposedmethodologyandhighlightitspotentialforimprovingthesafetyandefficiencyofpolarshipoperations.
