Introduction: Wasteincinerationiswidelyadoptedasaneffectivemethodtodisposeofmunicipalsolidwaste.However,theemissionofacidgasesduringthisprocessisknowntocontributetoairpollutionandacidrainformation.Monitoringandcontrollingtheconcentrationofthesegasesiscrucialforminimizingenvironmentalandhealthimpacts.Traditionalmonitoringmethodsrequiresignificantresourcesandtime,whilecomputationalmethodslikeneuralnetworksofferamoreefficientandaccurateapproachtopredictingemissionconcentrations. Methodology: ThestudyproposestheuseofaBPneuralnetworktopredicttheoriginalemissionconcentrationofacidicgasesfromwasteincineration.TheBPneuralnetworkisawidelyusedcomputationalmodelknownforitsabilitytoapproximatecomplexrelationshipsbetweeninputandoutputvariables.Theinputparametersconsideredinthisstudyincludewastecomposition,incinerationtemperature,residencetime,andthetypeofwasteincinerated.Theoutputvariableistheconcentrationofacidicgasesemitted. TooptimizetheselectionoftheBPneuralnetwork,aseriesofstepsareundertaken.Firstly,acomprehensivedatasetofwasteincinerationprocessesiscollected,includinginputparametersandcorrespondingemissionconcentrations.Thisdatasetisthendividedintotraining,validation,andtestingdatasets.ThetrainingdatasetisusedtotraintheBPneuralnetworkandadjustitsweightsandbiases.Thevalidationdatasetisutilizedtopreventoverfittingofthenetwork,andthetestingdatasetevaluatesthefinalpredictiveperfo
