TheEuropeanUnion'sRestrictionofHazardousSubstancesDirective(RoHS)aimstorestricttheuseofcertainhazardoussubstancesinelectricalandelectronicequipment.ThispaperexploresthepotentialimpactofthenewRoHSdirectiveontheexporttradeofmachineryandelectricalproductsinLiaoningProvince,China.ThestudyalsosuggestseffectivestrategiesandpolicyrecommendationsforbusinessestoovercomethechallengesposedbythedirectiveandmaintainacompetitiveedgeintheEUmarket.
