Abstract
Low-voltagepowerdistributionnetworkisoneofthekeyfactorstoensurethenormaloperationofchemicalproductionprocess.However,duetovariousreasonssuchasagingandpoorcontact,low-voltagecircuitfaultsoccurfromtimetotime.Inordertodetectandeliminatefaultsintime,arcdetectionmethodsarewidelyusedinlow-voltagepowerdistributionnetworksofchemicalplants,whichcaneffectivelyimprovethesafetyandstabilityofthepowersystem.Thispaperwillintroducetheprinciples,applicationsandcomparisonswithtraditionaldetectionmethodsofarcdetectionindetail,aimingtoprovidereferenceforsolvingchemicallinefaults.

Introduction
Withtherapiddevelopmentofchemicalindustry,thesafetyandstabilityoflow-voltagepowerdistributionnetworkshavebecomeincreasinglyimportant.Low-voltagepowerdistributionnetworkreferstothepowerdistributionsystembelow1000V,whichisresponsibleforsupplyingpowertothemainequipmentandsupportingfacilitiesinthechemicalplant.Whenthelow-voltagepowerdistributionnetworkfails,itwillcauseaseriesofproblemssuchaspoweroutages,equipmentdamage,andsafetyhazards.Inordertoensurethesafeandstableoperationofthelow-voltagepowerdistributionnetwork,variousdetectionmethodshavebeendeveloped,amongwhichthearcdetectionmethodhasattractedmuchattentionbecauseofitsadvantagesofhighsensitivityandquickresponse.
