CAS20与IFRS3比较研究
Introduction:
CAS20,ortheChineseAccountingStandardnumber20ismainlyrelatedtoBusinessCombinations,ormergersandacquisitions.TheChineseAccountingStandardswereintroducedin2007,andtheyaredevelopedbytheMinistryofFinanceofthePeople'sRepublicofChina.Meanwhile,IFRS3istheInternationalFinancialReportingStandardnumber3andisrelatedtoBusinessCombinationsaswell.ThisresearchpaperaimstocomparethedifferencesbetweenCAS20andIFRS3andevaluatetheirimpactonfinancialstatements.
Methodology:
Thisresearchpaperhasbeendevelopedusingqualitativeresearchmethodology.Itinvolvedconductingacomprehensiveliteraturereviewofrelevantarticles,aswellascomparingtheframeworksofthetwoaccountingstandards,whichareCAS20andIFRS3.Theresearchmethodologyalsoinvolvedexaminingtheimpactofthesestandardsonfinancialstatements.
ComparisonofCAS20andIFRS3:
TherearenotablesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenCAS20andIFRS3.TheChineseAccountingStandardnumber20wasdevelopedbasedontheInternationalFinancialReportingStandardnumber3.Therefore,theysharemanysimilarities.Nonetheless,thedifferencesbetweenCAS20andIFRS3includemeasurementperiods,intangibleassetrecognition,goodwillimpairmenttesting,andaccountingforbusinesscombinations.Furthermore,China'slegalsystemandbusinesspracticesalsohaveanimpactondifferencesbetweenthetwoaccountingstandards.
MeasurementPeriods:
CAS20,unlikeIFRS3,doesnotallowforameasurementperiodofupto12months.Thismeansthattheacquirerinabusinesscombinationmustensurethatthefairvalueofallacquiredassetsandliabilitiesismeasuredwithinoneaccountingperiod.
IntangibleAssetRecognition:
CAS20onlypermitstherecognitionofidentifiableintangibleassetsinabusinesscombination.Ontheotherhand,IFRS3doesnotlimittherecognitionofintangibleassets.Itrecognizesbothidentifiableandunidentifiableintangibleassetsiftheymeetthecriteria.
GoodwillImpairmentTesting:
IFRS3requiresgoodwilltobesubjecttoimpairmenttesting.However,CAS20mainlyfocusesontheallocationofgoodwillbasedontheidentifiednetassets.Nonetheless,theChineseAccountingStandardshaveintrodu
