ThepurposeofthispaperistoanalyzethecausesoftheaccidentaloperationintheMuBeiPowerPlantandproposeeffectivepreventionmeasurestoavoidthiskindofaccidentfromhappeningagain.ThroughextensiveresearchonthebackgroundoftheMuBeiPowerPlantandtheaccident,wehaveidentifiedtherootcausesoftheaccident.Basedonthisanalysis,weproposeseveralpreventionmeasurestoapplyinthefuture.Wehopethatthisresearchwillprovideinsightsforpowerplantworkersandpolicymakerstoimprovesafetymeasuresintheindustry.
Introduction
OnDecember16th,2020,at9:13p.m.,apowertransmissiontowerfellinMuBei,causingsixpowerplantsinthecitytolosepower.Thisledtoasignificantblackoutinthecityinthemiddleofwinter,endangeringthelivesandsafetyofresidents.InvestigationrevealedthattheincidentwascausedbymistakenlytrippingabreakerattheMuBeiPowerPlant,leadingtoachainreactionthatultimatelycausedthetowertofall.
Thisaccidentwasnotonlyaseriouseconomiclossforthepowercompanybutalsoathreattopublicsafety.Topreventsuchanincidentfromhappeningagain,itisessentialtoanalyzethecausesoftheaccidentandproposeeffectivepreventionmeasures.
CausesofAccident
