Introduction:
TheGreaterBayAreaisanareaofChinathatencompassesninedifferentcitiesandregions,includingGuangzhou,Shenzhen,andHongKong.Thisregionisoneofthemostdenselypopulatedareasintheworld,withmillionsofpeoplelivingandworkinginthearea.Duetotheintensedevelopmentinthearea,therearesignificantfireandexplosionhazardsthatmustbeanalyzed.
FireHazards:
ThereareseveralfirehazardsthatarepresentintheGreaterBayArea.Onemajorhazardiselectricalfires.Duetothehighpopulationdensity,therearealargenumberofbuildingsinthearea,manyofwhichareoldandhaveoutdatedelectricalsystems.Thesesystemscaneasilycauseelectricalfires,whichcanquicklyspreadthroughoutbuildingsandcausesignificantdamage.
Anothermajorfirehazardiscookingfires.Withalargenumberofrestaurantsandfoodvendorsinthearea,thereisahighriskofcookingfires.Thesefirescanspreadquicklyandcancausesignificantdamagetobuildingsandthesurroundingarea.
ExplosionHazards:
TherearealsosignificantexplosionhazardsintheGreaterBayArea.Onemajorhazardisthetransportationofhazardousmaterials.Withlargeportsandtransportationhubsinthearea,thereisasignificantriskofexplosionsduetothetransportationofhazardousmaterialssuchasoilandgas.
