2017年1月上旬泰国南部暴雨反复发生机制的研究(英文) ResearchontheMechanismofRepeatedOccurrenceofHeavyRaininSouthernThailandinEarlyJanuary2017 Introduction InearlyJanuary2017,Thailand’ssouthernregionwasbatteredbyheavyrainsanddevastatingfloods,causingwidespreaddestructionandlossoflife.Theregionwasexperiencingrepeated,intenserainstormswithrapidlyrisingwaterlevels,makingresponseandrescueeffortsextremelychallenging.Inordertounderstandthemeteorologicalfactorsthatcontributedtothisextremeevent,thispaperprovidesananalysisofthemechanismofrepeatedoccurrenceofheavyraininsouthernThailandinearlyJanuary2017. MeteorologicalBackground ThesouthernregionofThailand,consistingof14provinces,islocatedinatropicalclimatezone,wherethemonsoonseasonlastsfromMaytoOctober.Duringthisseason,thesouthwestmonsoonbringsheavyrainstotheregion,whilethenortheastmonsoonusuallyprevailsduringthedryseason.However,inearlyJanuary2017,adisturbanceintheupperatmosphereovertheBayofBengalledtotheformationofalow-pressuresystemthatmovedtowardstheThailandcoast.ThiswasaccompaniedbytheflowofmoistairfromtheIndianOcean,resultinginheavyrainfallintheregion. RainfallCharacteristics FromJanuary1toJanuary6,morethan1000mmofrainfallwasrecordedinsomepartsofsouthernThailand,whichwasequivalenttotheaverageannualrainfallintheregion.Thedailyrainfalltotalinsomeplacesexceeded300mm,whichwasbeyondthecapacityofthedrainagesystemandledtoflooding.TheheaviestrainfalloccurredintheprovincesofSuratThani,NakhonSiThammarat,andPhatthalung,causingflashfloodsandlandslidesthatdestroyedhomes,buildings,andtransportationinfrastructure. MeteorologicalAnalysis Duringthisperiod,theaffectedregionwasundertheinfluenceoftwomajormeteorologicalsystems:thelow-pressuretroughintheupperatmosphereandtheenhancednortheastmonsoon.Thelow-pressuresystembroughtmoisture-ladenairtotheregion,whichinteractedwithcoldanddryairfromthenortheastmonsoon.Thisinteractioncreatedasharptemperaturegradient,leadingtotheformationofthunderstormsandheavyprecipitation.Furthermore,theupper-levelwindpatternsresultedinthe
