Abstract:
Acquiringarobustvocabularyiscrucialfornon-Englishmajoruniversitystudentstoenhancetheirlanguageproficiencyandsucceedintheiracademicpursuits.Thispaperaimstoprovideanin-depthinvestigationandanalysisofvocabularymemorizationstrategiesemployedbynon-Englishmajoruniversitystudents.Theresearchexploresvariouseffectivetechniquessuchasrotememorization,contextuallearning,mnemonicdevices,andtechnologicalaids.Furthermore,itdiscussesthechallengesfacedbynon-Englishmajorstudentsinvocabularyacquisitionandproposessuggestionsforimprovingvocabularymemorization.
Introduction:
Vocabularyplaysavitalroleinlanguagelearning,irrespectiveofthediscipline.Non-EnglishmajoruniversitystudentsoftenfacechallengesinacquiringarobustEnglishvocabularyduetoalackofexposureandlimitedpracticeopportunities.Therefore,itbecomesessentialtoexploreeffectivevocabularymemorizationstrategiestailoredtomeettheirneeds.
