Abstract:
Englishisthemostwidelyspokenlanguageintheworldandhasbecomeacrucialskillintoday'sglobalizedsociety.Asaresult,therehasbeenanincreasinginterestamongnon-professionalstudentsinlearningEnglish.Thisresearchaimstoexplorethechangingpatternsofnon-professionalstudents'Englishlearningstylesandthefactorsinfluencingthesepatterns.Thestudyutilizesbothqualitativeandquantitativemethodstoanalyzethedatacollectedfromasampleofnon-professionalstudents.Thefindingshighlighttheimportanceofmotivationandself-directedlearningaskeydriversofchanginglearningstyles.
Introduction:
TheabilitytocommunicateinEnglishhasbecomeaprerequisiteforsuccessinmanyprofessionalfieldsandisconsideredavaluableassetintoday'sglobalizedworld.Non-professionalstudentsrefertothosewhoarenotmajoringinEnglishorhavenotreceivedformallanguagetraininginEnglish.Thisresearchaimstoinvestigatethechangingpatternsofnon-professionalstudents'Englishlearningstylesandtheunderlyingfactorsinfluencingthesepatterns.
Methods:
Amixed-methodapproachwasadoptedtogatherinformationonnon-professionalstudents'Englishlearningstyles.Initially,aseriesofinterviewswereconductedwithnon-professionalstudentstogainanunderstandingoftheircurrentlearningstyles.Theinterviewsweresemi-structured,allowingparticipantstosharetheirexperiences,preferences,andchallengesinlearningEnglish.Subsequently,aquestionnairewasdesignedanddistributedtoalargersampleofnon-professionalstudentstocollectquantitativedataontheirlearningstylesandmotivations.Thedatacollectedfrombothmethodswerethenanalyzedtoidentifycommonpatterns.
Results:
Thedataanalysisrevealedseveralnoteworthytrendsinthechangingpatternsofnon-professionalstudents'Englishlearningstyles.Firstly,therewasashiftfromtraditionalclassroom-basedlearningtomoreself-directedandindependentlearningapproaches.Thischangecouldbeattributedtotheavailabilityofonlineresources,whichallowedstudentstoaccessawiderangeofmaterialsandlearnatthe
