Abstract:
ThispaperpresentsanexperimentalstudyonthestructuralperformanceofaSRC(SteelReinforcedConcrete)column-RC(ReinforcedConcrete)beamframeafterafire.Theaimofthestudyistounderstandthebehaviorofthisstructuralsystemunderrepeatedloadingafterafireevent.Theevaluationofthestructuralperformanceisessentialforensuringthesafetyandresilienceofstructuressubjectedtofirehazards.TheexperimentalprogramincludesthetestingofseveralSRCcolumn-RCbeamspecimenssubjectedtosimulatedfireloadingfollowedbyrepeatedloading.Theresultsobtainedprovidevaluableinsightsintothepost-firebehaviorofthisstructuralsystemandcancontributetothedevelopmentoffire-resistantdesignguidelines.
1.Introduction:
1.1Background:
Fireincidentsposeasignificantthreattothesafetyanddurabilityofstructures,especiallyinhigh-risebuildingsandindustrialfacilities.Theperformanceofastructureaffectedbyfirecanbecompromisedduetomaterialdegradationandlossofstrength.SRCcolumn-RCbeamstructuresarecommonlyusedinconstructionduetotheirhighstrengthandductility.However,firecansignificantlyaffecttheperformanceofthesestructures,necessitatingacomprehensivestudyontheirbehaviorafterexposuretofire.
1.2Objective:
Themainobjectiveofthisstudyistoevaluatethepost-firebehaviorofSRCcolumn-RCbeamstructuresunderrepeatedloading.Theinvestigationaimstoprovidevaluabledataonthestructuralperformanceforthedevelopmentofenhancedfire-resistantdesignguidelines.
2.ExperimentalProgram:
2.1TestSpecimens:
Severalhalf-scaleSRCcolumn-RCbeamspecimenswerefabricatedaccordingtostandardconstructionpractices.Thespecimensweredesignedtorepresentatypicalstructuralsystememployedinmodernconstruction.Thecolumnsweremadeofsteel-reinforcedconcrete,whilethebeamsweredesignedwithreinforcedconcrete.Thespecimensweresubjectedtosimulatedfireloadingfollowedbyrepeatedloadingtoassesstheirstructuralperformance.
