Abstract:
Theapplicationofbodyareanetworks(BAN)inhealthcaresystemshaspavedthewayforsmarthealthcaresolutions.However,theintegrationofsensitivemedicaldatawithnetworkeddevicesposessignificantsecuritychallenges.Thispaperproposesadual-layersecuritymechanismforasmarthealthcaresystembasedonbodyareanetworks.Themechanismaimstoprotecttheconfidentiality,integrity,andavailabilityofmedicaldata,ensuringprivacyandtrustworthinessinthehealthcaredomain.Thispaperdiscussesthetwolayers,namelydevice-levelsecurityandcommunication-levelsecurity,withacomprehensiveanalysisofpotentialthreatsandcorrespondingcountermeasures.Theproposedsecuritymechanismprovidesarobustfoundationforthedevelopmentofsecureandefficientsmarthealthcaresystems.
1.Introduction:
Therapidadvancementsinbodyareanetworks(BAN)haverevolutionizedthehealthcareindustrybyenablingthecollection,transmission,andprocessingofreal-timehealthcaredata.However,theintegrationofnetworkeddevicesandthetransmissionofsensitivemedicalinformationpresentsignificantsecurityrisks.Unauthorizedaccess,datatampering,andprivacybreachescanleadtosevereconsequencesforpatientsandhealthcareproviders.Therefore,arobustsecuritymechanismisessentialtoensurethesafeandeffectiveoperationofsmarthealthcaresystems.
