Abstract:
Withthealarmingincreaseinairpollutionlevelsglobally,effectivestrategiestomitigateitsadverseeffectsareurgentlyrequired.Thispaperfocusesonthemodelingoftheeffectivenessoflandscapevegetationplanningincombatingairpollution.Thestudyaimstoexplorethepotentialofincorporatinggreenspacesandstrategicvegetationplanningasasustainableapproachtomitigateairpollution.Variousmodelingtechniquesanddatasourcesareutilizedtounderstandtheimpactofdifferentvegetationtypesandtheirspatialdistributiononairquality.Thefindingsfromthisstudywillprovidevaluableinsightsforurbanplannersandpolicymakerstodesigneffectivelandscapevegetationplansforcontrollingairpollution.
1.Introduction:
Airpollutionhasbecomeasignificantenvironmentalconcern,posingsevereriskstohumanhealthandecosystems.Whileconventionalapproachestoairpollutioncontrol,suchasindustrialemissionreductionandtransportationmanagement,remaincrucial,thepotentialoflandscapevegetationplanningincurbingairpollutionisgainingtraction.Greenspacesandvegetationhavelongbeenrecognizedfortheirabilitytoabsorbairpollutants,regulatemicroclimates,andimproveairquality.Thisresearchaimstoexaminehowlandscapevegetationplanningcancontributetoairpollutioncontrolandprovideamodelfordecision-makers.
