Abstract:
Thefieldofaerodynamicsplaysacrucialroleinthedesignanddevelopmentofaircraft.Inrecentyears,thedemandforefficientandmoreadvancedaircrafthasincreased,leadingtotherequirementforinnovativemethodstooptimizeaerodynamicshapes.ThispaperfocusesontheresearchofparametricmethodsforCST(classicalthinairfoiltheory)aerodynamicshape.
Introduction:
Aerodynamicshapeoptimizationisakeyfactorinachievingimprovedaircraftperformance.Theclassicalthinairfoiltheory(CST)iswidelyusedinaerodynamicsduetoitssimplicityandaccuracy.However,theconventionaluseofCSTrequiresextensivemanualanalysisandextensivetrial-and-errorprocedures.ParameterizingtheCSTmethodcaneffectivelyaddresstheselimitations,enablingfasterandmoreefficientdesigniterations.
Methods:
1.CSTOverview:
Theclassicalthinairfoiltheoryintroducesasimplifiedapproachtoanalyzeaerodynamiccharacteristics.Itassumesthattheairfoilisthin,camberedsymmetricallyorasymmetrically,andthattheflowispotentialandbothincompressibleandirrotational.Themathematicalmodelincludesthecirculationdistribution,liftcoefficient,pitchingmoment,anddragcoefficient.
2.ParameterizationTechniques:
VariousparameterizationtechniquescanbeusedtorepresenttheCSTairfoilshape,suchasBeziercurves,B-splines,andNURBS.Thesetechniquesallowforthemanipulationofcontrolpoints,whichdefinetheshapeoftheairfoil,andenablethecreationofalargenumberofdifferentshapes.
3.OptimizationAlgorithms:
Tooptimizetheaerodynamicshape,severalmethodscanbeemployed,includinggeneticalgorithms,surrogate-basedoptimization,andparticleswarmoptimization.Thesealgorithmsperformiterativecalculations,updatingtheparameterstominimizetheobjectivefunction,suchasdragcoefficientorlift-to-dragratio.
