Abstract:
Inrecentyears,therehasbeenagrowinginterestinthedevelopmentofnewmaterialswithenhancedmechanicalandelectricalproperties.Regeneratedgraphitereinforcedcement-basedcompositematerialshavegainedattentionduetotheirpotentialapplicationsinvariousindustriessuchasconstruction,aerospace,andelectronics.Thispaperpresentsacomprehensivestudyonthemechanicalandelectricalpropertiesofthesecomposites.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratethattheincorporationofregeneratedgraphiteincement-basedcompositescansignificantlyimprovetheirstrength,durability,andconductivity.Thesefindingsopenupnewavenuesfortheutilizationofthesematerialsinawiderangeofpracticalapplications.
1.Introduction:
Cement-basedcompositematerialsarewidelyusedinconstructionduetotheirlowcost,easeoffabrication,andgoodmechanicalproperties.However,thesetraditionalcompositesoftenlacktheabilitytoconductelectricity,limitingtheiruseinapplicationsthatrequireelectricalconnectivity.Regeneratedgraphite,withitsexcellentelectricalconductivityandmechanicalproperties,hasemergedasapromisingcandidateforreinforcingcement-basedcomposites.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheinfluenceofregeneratedgraphiteonthemechanicalandelectricalpropertiesofthesecomposites.
2.ExperimentalMethods:
2.1Materialpreparation:Thecement-basedcompositesampleswerepreparedbymixingcement,sand,water,andvariouspercentagesofregeneratedgraphite.Themixturewasthencastintomoldsandcuredforaspecificperiod.
2.2Mechanicaltesting:Themechanicalpropertiesofthecomposites,includingflexuralstrength,compressivestrength,andtensilestrength,wereevaluatedusingstandardizedtestingmethods.
2.3Electricaltesting:Theelectricalconductivityofthecompositeswasmeasuredusingafour-probetechnique.Theresistivitywasdeterminedbymeasuringthevoltagedropacrossaknownlengthofthesample.
