ThisresearchpaperfocusesontheacquisitionofEnglishprepositionsbysecondlanguagelearners,takingintoconsiderationtheprinciplesofprototypecategorytheory.Thestudyaimstoprovideinsightsintothecognitiveprocessesinvolvedintheacquisitionofprepositionsbyexaminingtheroleofprototypes,typicality,andconceptualmappinginthedevelopmentofprepositionalknowledge.Byanalyzingexistingliteratureandconductingempiricalresearch,thispapercontributestotheunderstandingofhowlearnersacquireanduseEnglishprepositions.
1.Introduction
