Urbanizationisaninevitableprocessindevelopingcountriesthatsignificantlyaffectseconomicandsocialdevelopment.ThisstudyaimstoanalyzethefactorsinfluencingurbanizationinfiveSouthwestprovincesandcitiesofChina,namelySichuan,Yunnan,Guizhou,Guangxi,andTibet.TheresearchutilizesthedynamicpaneldataGMMestimationtechniquetomodelandestimatetheimpactofvariousfactorsonurbanizationovertheperiodunderinvestigation.Theresultsprovidevaluableinsightsintothespecificfactorscontributingtourbanizationinthisregion,highlightingtheimportanceofpolicyinterventionstopromotesustainableurbandevelopment.
1.Introduction
Urbanizationisacriticaldriverofeconomicgrowthanddevelopmentinmanyregionsworldwide.Itencompasseschangesinpopulation,economicstructure,physicalinfrastructure,andsocialorganization.TheSouthwestprovincesofChina,knownfortheirabundantnaturalresourcesandethnicdiversity,havewitnessedrapidurbanizationinrecentdecades.Thisstudyseekstoidentifyandanalyzethefactorsinfluencingurbanizationintheseprovinces,sheddinglightonstrategiesforpromotinginclusiveandsustainableurbandevelopment.
