Abstract:
Thispaperpresentsamodelpredictivecurrentcontrolstrategyforapermanentmagnetsynchronousmotor(PMSM)drivenbyathree-levelinverter.Thecontrolapproachutilizesafractional-orderslidingmodevelocityobservertoestimatethemotorspeedandimplementsamodelpredictivecontrol(MPC)algorithmtoregulatethemotorcurrents.Theproposedcontrolmethodaimstoachieveaccuratecurrenttrackingandimprovethedynamicresponseofthesystem.Inaddition,thefractional-orderslidingmodeobserverprovidesenhancedrobustnessagainstuncertaintiesanddisturbances.Theperformanceofthecontrolmethodisevaluatedthroughsimulations,andtheresultsdemonstratetheeffectivenessandsuperiorityoftheproposedapproach.
1.Introduction:
Theincreasingdemandforhigherefficiencyandimproveddynamicresponseinmotordrivesystemshasledtoextensiveresearchanddevelopmentofadvancedcontrolalgorithms.ThePMSMisawidelyusedmotorinvariousapplicationsduetoitshighpowerdensity,highefficiency,andexcellentcontrollability.Thethree-levelinverterisapopularchoiceforPMSMdrivesasitoffersreducedswitchinglosses,enhancedDCbusutilization,andimprovedoutputvoltagequality.However,achievingaccuratecurrentcontrolandhighspeedperformanceinPMSMdrivesisstillachallengingtaskduetononlinearities,parametervariations,anduncertainexternaldisturbances.
2.LiteratureReview:
Inrecentyears,severalcontroltechniqueshavebeenproposedtotacklethechallengesinPMSMdrives.Modelpredictivecontrol(MPC)hasgainedattentionduetoitsabilitytohandlemultivariablesystemswithinputandoutputconstraints.Slidingmodecontrol(SMC)isanotherpopularmethodthatprovidesrobustnessagainstparameteruncertaintiesanddisturbances.Fractional-ordercontrolhasalsobeenutilizedtoimprovesystemperformance,takingadvantageofthenon-integerorderdynamics.
