3.APopularPastimeoftheEnglishPeople
Oneofthebestmeansofunderstandingthepeopleofanynationiswatchingwhatthedowiththeirnon-workingtime.
MostEnglishmen,womenandchildrenlovegrowingthings,especiallyflowers.VisitorstoEnglandinspring,summerorautumnarelikelytoseegardensalltheywayalongtherailwaylines.Thereareflowersattheairportsandflowersinfactorygrounds,aswellasingardensalongtheroads.EachEnglishtownhasatleastoneparkwithbeautifullykeptflowerbeds.Publicbuildingsofeverykindhavebrilliantwindowboxesandsometimesbasketsofflowersarehangingonthem.
