Duringaseminar(研讨会)inTunisia,in1982,ICOMOSsuggestedcelebratingWorldHeritageDayonApril18.TheresolutionforthesamewaspassedinNovember1983atthe22ndsessionoftheUNESCOConference.ThemeofWorldHeritageDay
Eachyearonthisday,ICOMOSproposesathemeforactivitiesandcampaignstobeorganizedbyitsmembers,nationalandinternationalscientificcommittees,partners,andanyonewhowantstojoinincelebratingtheday.
