2010~2011年吕宋海峡西侧潜标观测的初步分析
INTRODUCTION
ThewesternsideoftheLuzonStraitisanimportantareaforoceanographicresearch.In2010and2011,aseriesofmooredsubsurfacebuoysweredeployedinthisregiontocollectdataonoceantemperatures,currents,andotherparameters.ThispaperpresentsapreliminaryanalysisofthisdataanditsimplicationsforourunderstandingofthewesternLuzonStrait.
DATACOLLECTION
BetweenJune2010andAugust2011,atotalofeightacousticDopplercurrentprofiler(ADCP)mooringsandthreetemperature/salinity(T/S)mooringsweredeployedalongthewesternsideoftheLuzonStrait.TheADCPmooringsweredeployedatdepthsrangingfrom50to400meters,whiletheT/Smooringswerelocatedclosertothesurface.Thesemooringswereequippedwithinstrumentsthatmeasuredtemperature,salinity,andwatervelocity.Additionally,twowavebuoysweredeployedtoestimateseasurfacetemperatureandheight.
DATAANALYSIS
Thedatacollectedfromthemooredbuoyswereanalyzedusingstandardoceanographictechniques.Thetemperatureandsalinitydatawereusedtogenerateplotsofthewatercolumnstructure.TheseplotsshowedthatthewesternsideoftheLuzonStraitwascharacterizedbyawarm,low-salinitysurfacelayeroverlyingacooler,higher-salinitylayer.Thisthermoclinewasdeepestinthecenterofthestraitandshoaledtowardsboththecoastlines.Intheupper50metersofthewatercolumn,thetemperatureandsalinityvalueswererelativelyconstant,indicatingthatthislayerwaswell-mixedbywindandtidalforces.
ThecurrentsmeasuredbytheADCPmooringsshowedastrong,vertically-orientedflowinthecenterofthestrait.Thisflowwasprimarilydrivenbythetidalforcesandwasstrongestneartheseafloor.Thevelocityofthesecurrentsdecreasedwithdepth,andtherewasaweak,opposingsurfacecurrentflowtowardsthenorth.Thewavebuoydatashowedthattherewassignificantwaveenergy,particularlyduringtyphoonseason.Boththeseasurfaceheightandtemperaturewerefoundtobestronglyinfluencedbytheprevailingwindsandcurrents.
DISCUSSION
ThedatacollectedfromthewesternsideoftheLuzonStraitprovidesimportantinsightsintotheoceanographyofthisregion.Thethermoclineobservedinthewatercolumnstructureisconsistentwithpr
