ThefirststepinreformingtheEnglishcurriculumistoadjusttheteachingcontent.Thetraditionalfocusongrammarandvocabularyneedstobeimproved.Studentsshouldbeexposedtoavarietyofauthenticmaterials,suchasscientificarticles,academicpapers,andindustryreports,whichwillenhancetheirabilitytoreadandunderstandEnglishtexts.Atthesametime,moreemphasisshouldbeplacedondevelopingcriticalthinkingandproblem-solvingskills,whicharecriticalforsuccessinthematerialsindustry.
