Introduction
Withtherapiddevelopmentoftheglobaleconomy,Englishhasbecomeanessentialtoolforcommunication.Inrecentyears,theCommunicative-BasedInstruction(CBI)teachingmodehasbeenwidelyusedinEnglishteachinginuniversitiesinChina.Comparedwithtraditionalteachingmethods,CBIemphasizesthecultivationofstudents'practicalabilityandcriticalthinkingability,whichismoreinlinewiththerequirementsofthecurrentsocialdevelopment.Therefore,inthispaper,wewillanalyzetheimpactofCBIonthecriticalthinkingabilitiesofEnglishmajorsandexplorehowCBIcanhelpdeveloptheircriticalthinkingability.
