Introduction:
TD-LTE(TimeDivisionLongTermEvolution)isoneofthelatesttechnologiesthatprovideshighspeedandbetterconnectivitytotheusers.Itprovidesvariousadvantagesoverotherwirelessnetworkssuchasbettercoverage,improvedcapacity,andhigherqualityofservice.TD-LTEisconsideredasasignificanttechnologythatsupportsvariousservicessuchasvideo,audio,anddataservicesthatrequirehighbandwidth.Inthispaper,wewilldiscussthehotspotanalysisandplanningoftheTD-LTEnetwork.
HotspotAnalysis:
Thehotspotanalysisisatechniqueusedtoidentifythelocationswherenetworkdemandishigh.Ithelpsthenetworkserviceprovidertoidentifytheareasorlocationswheremoreresourcesarerequiredtomeetthecustomers'demands.Thehotspotanalysisalsohelpstheproviderstoidentifytheareaswherecoverageisweak,andtheusersarenotgettingtherequiredservices.TheTD-LTEnetworkisalsoanalyzedusingthehotspotanalysistechniquetoidentifytheareaswherethenetworkisweakandtheusersarenotgettingtherequiredservices.Thehotspotanalysisprovidesimportantinformationthathelpsthenetworkserviceprovidertoplanthenetworkservicesandmeetthecustomers'demands.
PlanningDesign:
TheplanningdesignfortheTD-LTEnetworkdependsonvariousfactorssuchasthearea,population,numberofusers,andthetypeofservicesprovided.Thenetworkserviceprovidermustplanthenetworkinsuchawaythatitmeetsthedemandsoftheusers.ThefollowingstepsshouldbefollowedtoplantheTD-LTEnetwork:
1.SiteSelection:
ThefirststepinplanningtheTD-LTEnetworkistoselectthesiteswherethenetworkwillbeinstalled.Thesiteselectionshouldbebasedonthehotspotanalysisandthedemandfortheservices.Thenetworkserviceprovidershouldalsoconsidertheexistinginfrastructureandselectthesiteswheretheinstallationisfeasible.
2.CapacityRequirements:
ThecapacityrequirementsshouldalsobeconsideredwhileplanningtheTD-LTEnetwork.Thecapacityrequirementdependsonthenumberofusers,thetypeofservicesprovided,andtheamountofdatatransmitted.Thenetworkserviceprovidershouldplanthenetworkinsuchawaythatitcanhandlethetrafficload.Thecapacityrequirementsshouldbeanalyzedregularl
