Introduction:
Mongolianlanguagehasvariousscripts,amongwhichthetraditionalMongolianscriptandthenewMongolianscriptarethemostwidelyknownandused.Thetraditionalscriptwasinventedinthe13thcenturybythegreatMongolianemperorGenghisKhan.Thisscriptwasmostlyusedforwritinghistoricaltexts,religiousscripts,anddiplomaticdocuments.Ontheotherhand,thenewMongolianscriptwascreatedinthe20thcenturyduringtheSovieteraandiswidelyusedtodayforofficialpurposes,likenewspapers,books,andotherliterature.Inthispaper,wewilldiscusstheconversionoftraditionalMongolianscripttonewMongolianscript,particularlyinthecaseofnounanditscases.
Background:
TraditionalMongolianscriptwaswidelyused,butitwasdifficulttolearnanduseforthegeneralpublic,especiallyforthosewhodidnothaveagoodunderstandingofscripture.ThisledtothecreationofanewMongolianscriptinthe20thcentury,whichwasacursiveformofthetraditionalscript.Thenewscriptwaseasytolearnandhasasimplifiedstructure,makingitconvenientfordailyuse.
However,mostofthematerialswritteninthetraditionalMongolianscripthadtobeconvertedtothenewscript,whichposedasignificantchallenge.CertainelementsoftheMongolianlanguage,especiallythenounanditscases,requireparticularattentionduringtheconversionprocess.
ResearchMethodology:
ThestudywasconductedbyanalyzingvarioustextswrittenintraditionalMongolianscripts,andthentransformingthemintothenewMongolianscript.ThiswasdonebyidentifyingtherulesfollowedintraditionalMongolianscriptswhenusingnounsandtheircases,andthenapplyingthoserulestothenewscriptbymodifyingthewritingsystem.Theconversionprocesswasdonemanually,withcloseattentionpaidtotheoriginaltext'ssemanticsandgrammar.
