Introduction
The5thNationalInfraredScienceandTechnologyExchangeConferencewassuccessfullyheldinWuhancity,whichbroughttogetherexpertsandscholarsfromalloverthecountrytodiscussthelatestdevelopments,achievements,andchallengesinthefieldofinfraredscienceandtechnology.Infraredtechnologyplaysanimportantroleinmanyfieldssuchasmilitary,medical,industrial,andenvironmentalprotection.Thisconferenceprovidesaplatformforexpertsandscholarstoexchangetheirideas,sharetheirexperiences,andpromotethedevelopmentoftheinfraredindustryinChina.
Overviewoftheconference
TheconferencewasheldfromOctober19to21,2021,attheWuhanInternationalExpoCenter.Theconferenceconsistedofkeynotespeeches,parallelsessions,exhibitions,andsocialevents.Itattractedmorethan600participantsfromuniversities,researchinstitutes,andcompaniesinthefieldofinfraredscienceandtechnology.TheconferencewasorganizedbytheInfraredDetectionCommitteeoftheChineseSocietyforMeasurementandtheOptoelectronicsIndustryDevelopmentAssociation,withthesupportoftheWuhanMunicipalScienceandTechnologyBureauandotherorganizations.
Keynotespeeches
Theconferencestartedwithanopeningceremony,followedbykeynotespeechesgivenbydistinguishedscholarsandexpertsinthefieldofinfraredscienceandtechnology.ThefirstkeynotespeechwasdeliveredbyProf.LiXiaoping,anacademicianoftheChineseAcademyofSciencesandthedirectoroftheNationalKeyLaboratoryofInfraredPhysics.Prof.Liintroducedthelatestresearchprogressinthefieldofinfraredimagingandspectroscopy,focusingonthedevelopmentofnewmaterialsanddevices.
OtherkeynotespeakersincludedProf.WuZhenglong,anacademicianoftheChineseAcademyofEngineeringandthedirectoroftheInstituteofOptoelectronicsofHuazhongUniversityofScienceandTechnology,whogaveatalkabouttheapplicationofinfraredtechnologyinthefieldofmedicaldiagnosisandtreatment.Prof.ZhangXiaowei,theCEOofHikvisionDigitalTechnologyCo.,Ltd.,sharedhisinsightsonthedevelopmenttrendoftheglobalinfraredindustryandthechallengesfacingtheChineseinfraredindustry.
