词块教学法对高中生英语词汇能力的影响实证研究 Title:AnEmpiricalStudyontheImpactofChunkTeachingMethodonHighSchoolStudents'VocabularyProficiencyinEnglish Abstract: ThispaperaimstoinvestigatetheeffectivenessofthechunkteachingmethodonenhancingthevocabularyproficiencyofhighschoolstudentsinEnglish.Thestudyutilizesaquasi-experimentalresearchdesign,comparingthevocabularyperformanceofstudentswhoreceivedchunkteachingwiththosewhodidnot.Theresultsindicatethatthechunkteachingmethodhasasignificantpositiveimpactonstudents'vocabularyacquisition.Findingssuggestthatintegratingchunkteachingintolanguageinstructioncaneffectivelyenhancestudents'vocabularylearningandretention,leadingtoimprovedoveralllanguageproficiency. Introduction: HighschoolEnglisheducationlaysthefoundationforstudents'furtherdevelopmentinEnglishlanguageskills.Amongvariouslanguagecomponents,vocabularyproficiencyplaysacrucialroleinimprovingstudents'reading,writing,listening,andspeakingabilities.Traditionalvocabularyteachingmethods,suchasrepetitivememorization,haveshownlimitedeffectivenessinhelpingstudentsacquireandretainnewwords.Inresponsetothesechallenges,thechunkteachingmethodhasemergedasaninnovativeapproachthatfocusesonteachingwordsinmeaningfulchunkswithinthecontextoflanguageuse.Thisstudyaimstoempiricallyinvestigatetheimpactofthechunkteachingmethodonhighschoolstudents'vocabularyacquisitionandretention. Methodology: Aquasi-experimentalresearchdesignwasadoptedforthisstudy.Twointactclassroomsfromalocalhighschoolwererandomlyassignedastheexperimentalgroup(receivingchunkteaching)andthecontrolgroup(usingtraditionalteachingmethods).Theparticipantsincluded60highschoolstudentsintheirfirstyearofstudy.Pre-testsandpost-testswereadministeredtobothgroupstoevaluatetheirvocabularyproficiency.Thetestsconsistedofmultiple-choicequestionsandanapplicationtasktoassessstudents'understandingandusageofthetargetwords.
