Introduction
TheCommonObjectRequestBrokerArchitecture(CORBA)isamiddlewaretechnologythatenablessoftwarecomponentswrittenindifferentprogramminglanguagestocommunicateandcollaboratewithoneanotherseamlesslyacrossanetwork.CORBAprovidesastandardframeworkfordistributedcomputing,makingiteasiertodevelopandmanagecomplexsystemsthatspanmultiplemachines,platforms,andoperatingenvironments.
Theadventof3G(ThirdGeneration)networkshascreatedanewsetofchallengesfornetworkoperators,particularlyintheareaofnetworkmanagement.3Gnetworksareexpectedtoprovidehigh-speeddataaccessandavarietyofmultimediaservicestoend-users,puttinghighdemandsontheunderlyinginfrastructure.Asaresult,managing3Gnetworksrequiressophisticatedsoftwaretoolsthatcanhandlecomplexoperationsandensurehighlevelsofservicequality.
