Introduction:

1.InternationalMaritimeOrganization(IMO)Guidelines:
TheUnitedStates,asamemberstateoftheIMO,followsinternationalguidelinesforthedesign,construction,andoperationofcruiseships.TheSafetyofLifeatSea(SOLAS)ConventionisakeyIMOregulatoryframeworkthataddressesvariousaspectsofshipsafety,includingstructuralintegrity,fireprotection,life-savingappliances,andemergencypreparedness.
