Introduction: Submarineconningtowerisakeystructureofsubmarine,whichisresponsibleforthesafeoperationofthesubmarineandthelivingofcrewmembers.Duetothedeepwaterenvironmentandhigh-speedoperation,theconningtowerisvulnerabletovarioustypesofimpacts,includingcollisionwithexternalobjects,whichmayleadtoseveredamageorevencompletedestructionofthestructure.Therefore,itisnecessarytostudythecollisionstrengthofsubmarineconningtowertoensureitssafety. Theoreticalanalysis: Thecalculationofthecollisionforcemainlyincludestwoparts:thekineticenergyoftheobjectandtheresistanceforceoftheconningtower.ThekineticenergyoftheobjectiscalculatedbytheformulaE=1/2mv2,wheremisthemassoftheobjectandvisthevelocityoftheobject.TheresistanceforceoftheconningtoweriscalculatedbytheformulaF=1/2ρυ2CdA,whereρisthedensityofwater,υisthevelocityofthewater,Cdisthedragcoefficient,andAisthecross-sectionalareaoftheconningtower. Numericalsimulation: WeuseANSYSsoftwaretosimulatethecollisionprocessofsubmarineconningtowerindeepwaterenvironment.Themodelofconningtowerisestablishedbasedontheactualstructure,andtheexternalobjectissimulatedasarigidsphere.Thesimulationprocessincludesfoursteps:(1)themodelisimportedintothesoftwareandthematerialpropertiesareassigned;(2)theinitialvelocityandpositionofthespherearespecified;(3)thesimulationisperformedtoobtainthecollisionforceandstressdistribution;(4)theresultsareanalyzedandcomparedwiththetheoreticalcalculation.
