Background TheUniversityofSheffieldhasmadeasignificantupstreaminimplementingcontext-basedlearninginrecentyears.Contextualizededucationreferstotheprocessofgroundinglearninginreal-worldsituations,enablingstudentstoacquireskills,knowledge,andunderstandingbyplacingtheminthecontextofactualproblemsorscenarios.Researchhasshownthatcontextualizededucationiseffectiveinmotivatinglearnersandenhancingtheirengagementwiththedisciplineunderstudy.Furthermore,contextualizededucationprovidesstudentswithaplatformfordevelopingcomplexunderstandingsandcompetenciesthattheycanapplytoreal-worldscenarios.Inmediastudies,contextualizededucationoffersstudentstheopportunitytoparticipateinrealmediaprojectswhichhavesignificantimplicationsfortheindustry. Methodology TheresearchmethodologyusedinthisstudyinvolvedareviewofcurrentliteratureonthesubjectofContextualizededucation.Additionally,thisresearchpaperalsoinvolvedananalysisoftheUniversityofSheffield'smediastudiesprogram'suseofcontextualizededucationthroughasurveyofeducatorsinthedepartment.
