Introduction
Mobilecommerceisagrowingtrendthatallowsconsumerstoconductbusinesstransactionsusingmobiledevices.Withtheincreasingdemandformobiledevicesandtheinternet,mobilecommerceisbecomingapopularwaytoshop,buyandsellgoodsandservices.ThispaperoutlinesthedesignofamobilecommercesystembasedonEnterpriseJavaBeans(EJB)technology.
OverviewoftheEJB-basedMobileCommerceSystem
TheEJB-basedmobilecommercesystemisdesignedtosupportvariousmobiledevices.ThesystemconsistsofasetofEJBcomponentsthatworktogethertoprovideessentialfunctionalitysuchasuserauthentication,productsearching,andpaymentprocessing.Thesystemarchitectureisbasedonthreetiers,whicharepresentation,business,anddatatiers.
Thepresentationtierisresponsiblefortheuserinterfaceofthesystem.Itincludeswebpages,mobileapplications,andotherclient-sideapplicationsthatinteractwiththesystem.ThebusinesstiercomprisestheEJBcomponentsthathandlethebusinesslogicofthesystem,includinguserauthentication,productsearching,orderprocessing,andpaymenthandling.Thedatatierisresponsibleforstoringandmanagingthesystem'sdata.
TheEJB-basedmobilecommercesystem'scorefunctionalityincludesuserregistrationandauthentication,productbrowsingandsearching,orderprocessing,andpaymenthandling.Thesystemalsosupportscustomerreviewsandratings,ordertracking,andhistory,andcustomerservice.
TechnicalDesignoftheEJB-basedMobileCommerceSystem
TheEJBtechnologyisanessentialcomponentofthemobilecommercesystem'stechnicaldesign.ThesystemutilizestheEJBframeworktomanagethebusinesslogic,transactionmanagement,andpersistenceofthesystem'sdata.ThefollowingaretheEJBcomponentsofthesystem:
1.SessionBeans-Thesessionbeansareresponsibleformanagingtheuser'ssessioninformation,includingauthenticationandauthorization.Thesebeanshandleuserregistration,login,andlogout.Theyalsomanagetheuser'sshoppingcart,wishlist,andorderhistory.
2.EntityBeans-Theentitybeansareresponsibleformanagingthepersistentdataofthesystem,includingproductinformation,customerorders,andpaymenttransactions.
