Introduction:
Commercialbriberyhasbecomeapervasiveissueworldwide,severelyimpactingfaircompetitionandeconomicdevelopment.Governments,organizations,andindividualsneedtointensifytheireffortstotacklethisproblemeffectively.Thispaperdiscussesthepracticesandreflectionsonthestrategiesusedtocombatcommercialbribery,highlightingtheimportanceofcomprehensiveframeworks,effectiveenforcementmechanisms,andethicaleducation.
I.ComprehensiveLegalFrameworks:
A.Legislation:Arobustlegalframeworkisessentialtocombatcommercialbriberyeffectively.Governmentsshouldenactcomprehensivelegislationthatcriminalizesbribesofferedtopublicofficials,privatesectoremployees,andforeignofficials.Thislegislationshouldalsocovermoneylaundering,facilitationpayments,andtheliabilityofcorporationsforbriberycommittedbytheiremployees.
