TheoreticalFramework Theactiveparticipationteachingmodelisbasedonthetheoryofconstructivism,whichpositsthatlearningisanactiveprocessinwhichstudentsconstructtheirknowledgethroughtheirexperiencesandinteractionswiththeenvironment.Thistheoryalsoemphasizestheimportanceofprovidingstudentswithopportunitiestocriticallyreflectontheirownlearning.Inthecontextofchemistryeducation,thismodelprovidesaframeworkforstudentstoactivelyengagewiththesubjectandconstructtheirunderstandingthroughexperimentation,discussion,andproblem-solving. Methodology Thisresearchusesamixed-methodapproach,combiningqualitativeandquantitativedatacollectionmethods.Acasestudyofachemistrycoursethatincorporatestheactiveparticipationteachingmodelwasconducted.Thequalitativecomponentofthedatacollectioninvolvedobservationofclassroomactivities,interviewswiththeinstructorandstudents,andanalysisofstudentwork.Thequantitativecomponentinvolvedthedistributionofasurveytostudentstoassesstheirattitudestowardtheactiveparticipationteachingmodel. Results Theresultsofthestudyindicatethattheactiveparticipationteachingmodeliseffectiveinpromotingstudentengagementandenhancingtheirlearningoutcomesinchemistryeducation.Themajorityofthestudentsreportedapositiveexperiencewiththeteachingmodelandregardeditasaneffectivewaytolearnchemistryconcepts.Thequalitativedatashowedthatthemodelenablesstudentstoconstructtheirknowledgeinanintuitiveandmeaningfulwaythroughexperimentation,discussion,andproblem-solving.Themodelalsoencouragescollaborativelearningandenhancesstudents'teamworkskills.
