Abstract:
Themulti-touchinteractivetabletopsystembasedonFTIRisanewtypeofhuman-computerinteractionmethod.ItusesFTIRtechnologytodetectandtrackthemovementofmultiplepointsonthesurfaceofthetabletop,allowinguserstointeractwiththecomputerinamorenaturalandintuitiveway.ThispaperexplorestheprincipleandadvantagesofFTIRtechnology,andintroducesthedesignandimplementationofamulti-touchinteractivetabletopsystembasedonFTIR.Thesystemhasbeentestedandevaluated,andtheresultsshowthatithassignificantadvantagesintermsofaccuracy,responsespeed,andeaseofuse.

Introduction:
Multi-touchinteractivetabletopshaveemergedasanewtypeofinteractivedisplaytechnologyinrecentyears.Comparedwithtraditionaldesktopcomputers,theyprovidealargerdisplayareaandmorenaturalandintuitiveinteractionmethods.Thereareseveraldifferenttechnologiesthatcanbeusedtoimplementmulti-touchinteractivetabletopsystems,includingcapacitive,resistive,andFTIR(FrustratedTotalInternalReflection)technologies.Amongthem,FTIRtechnologyhasbecomeincreasinglypopularduetoitslowcost,highaccuracy,androbustness.
FTIRtechnologyworksbyilluminatingthesurfaceofatransparentmaterial,suchasglassoracrylic,withinfraredlight.Whenafingerorotherobjecttouchesthesurface,someofthelightisrefractedoutofthetransparentmaterial,creatinganareaoflowreflectedlight.Thisareacanbedetectedbyacameralocatedbeneaththetransparentmaterial,andthepositionandmovementoftheobjectcanbetracked.
DesignandImplementation:
Thedesignofthemulti-touchinteractivetabletopsystembasedonFTIRconsistsofseveralkeycomponents:atransparenttabletop,aninfraredlightsource,acamera,andacomputer.Thetabletopismadeofglassoracrylic,andisilluminatedbyaninfraredlightsource.Acameraisplacedbeneaththetabletoptodetectandtrackthemovementofobjectsonthesurface.Acomputerprocessesthedatafromthecameraanddisplaystheimageonthetabletop.
ThesoftwareforthesystemisbasedontheWindowsoperatingsystem,andisdesignedusingC++andOpenCVlibraries.Thesoftwa
