第七章、状语从句
一、时间状语从句：
1.when/while/as
when具有突然性，beaboutto…when,beonthepointofdoing…,when,was/weredoing…when,hadjustdonewhen;when还可引导原因状语从句，“既然”。
Whyareyoulookingforanewjobwhenyouhavegotsuchagoodone?
While表示当……的期间和过程。
比较：Whenmymothercameback,Iwasdoingmyhomework.
WhileIwasdoingmyhomeworkmymothercameback.
While还用于让步状语从句，“尽管”。
WhileIagreewithsomethingyousaid,Idon’tagreewitheverything.
While还可引导对比和转折。
Somestudentsarehardworkingandmakerapidprogress,whilesomeareratherlazy.
As表示“随着……”，强调同步和伴随。
Astimewentby,Snowwhitegrowmoreandmorebeautiful.
As还可引导定语从句。
Asisreported,theprojectwillbefinishedintwoweeks.

Asiswellknown,
As引导让步状语从句：adj/adv/n/vas主语+谓语
As还可引导原因状语从句，因为。
Asheisyouryoungerbrother,youshouldtreathimbetter.
2.before“才……，就……，还来不及……，趁还没……”
Threedayswentbybeforethepolicecaughtthethief.
ThemanagerhadlefttheofficebeforeIcouldtellhimmyexcuse.
Thepietastesgoodbeforeitiscold.
3.名词做连词。
time的短语：thefirsttime,lasttime(上次),thelasttime（最后一次）,everytime,eachtime,nexttime（下次）,thenexttime（后来一次）。
表示“一……就……”:themoment,theminute,thewhile,theinstant
4.副词做连词。
Immediately,instantly，directly“一……就……”
5.sbhadhardlydone…,when…=Hardlyhadsbdone,when….
Sbhadnosoonerdone….than…=Nosoonerhadsbdone…,than…
Ihadhardlygothomewhenthetelephonerang.
=hardlyhadIgothomewhenthetelephonerang.
6.since自从……
Ithasbeen3yearssincehewasasoldier.
自从他没当兵（退伍）已经三年。since从句中状态是表示过去，否定翻译。
二、地点状语从句
Remembertoputbackthebookwhereitis.
Whereveryouare,whateveryoudo,Iwillberightherewaitingforyou.
三、原因状语从句
because,直接原因，when,反问“既然……为什么……?”,since既然，表推理，as陈述事实，for分析判断。
介词结构：considering,seeing,given名词/从句
四、条件状语从句
if/unless
onconditionthat/ononecondition
so/aslongas只要
sofaras就……而言
介词结构：provided/providing,suppose/supposing,imagine,assuming
五、让步状语从句
1.though/although
*though置于句末，变为副词,类似还有incase

2.evenif/eventhough
