Abstract:
Inthispaper,weexploretheblindequalizationprobleminIIRchannelsusingoversampledoutput.WebeginbyintroducingthebackgroundandsignificanceofblindequalizationandIIRchannels.Then,wedelveintotheconceptofoversampledoutput,itsadvantages,anditsapplicationtoblindequalization.WeproposeanovelalgorithmforblindequalizationinIIRchannelsusingoversampledoutputandprovideadetailedanalysisofitseffectivenessandperformance.Finally,weconcludewithadiscussionofthefutureresearchprospectsinthisfield.
1.Introduction
Blindequalizationisafundamentalprobleminsignalprocessing,aimingtoestimateandcompensatefortheeffectsofacommunicationchannelonatransmittedsignalwithoutpriorknowledgeofthechannelcharacteristics.IIR(InfiniteImpulseResponse)channelsarecommonlyencounteredinvariouscommunicationsystemsduetotheirabilitytomodelawiderangeofchannelresponsesaccurately.IIRchannelsposeasignificantchallengetoblindequalizationduetotheirnonlinearandtime-varyingnature.
2.Background
Inthissection,weprovideanoverviewofblindequalizationtechniquesanddiscusstheirlimitationsinthecontextofIIRchannels.Wealsointroducetheconceptofoversampledoutput,describingitsbenefitsandpreviousapplicationsinequalizationalgorithms.
3.OversampledOutputinBlindEqualization
