Abstract:
TheResourceReservationProtocol(RSVP)isawidely-usedsignalingprotocolincomputernetworksforestablishingandmaintainingQualityofService(QoS)inIPnetworks.WhileRSVPhasbeensuccessfulinprovidingQoSforvariousapplications,thereisademandforitsfurtherextensiontohandlemodernnetworkrequirements.ThispaperpresentsanextendedstudyontheRSVPsignalingprotocol,exploringitslimitations,andproposingpossibleadvancementstoaddresstheemergingchallengesinnetworkcommunication.Theproposedextensionsaimtoenhancetheflexibility,scalability,andsecurityofRSVP.
1.Introduction
