掺镱双包层光纤激光器内腔倍频绿光实验研究(英文) Researchonfrequencydoublinggreenlightinsidethecavityofthulium-dopeddouble-cladfiberlaser 1.Introduction Fiberlasershavebecomeoneofthemostinfluentialcategoriesoflasersystemsinscientificandindustrialapplications.Thefiberlasershaveadvantagesofhighefficiency,compactsize,andhigh-qualityoutputbeam,amongothers.Thulium-dopeddouble-cladfiberlasershavebeenwidelyusedinmedicalandindustrialapplications,suchasdermatology,materialprocessing,andsolid-statelighting.Inthispaper,weintroduceafrequencydoublingexperimentusingthulium-dopeddouble-cladfiberlaserasthefundamentallasersource. 2.Frequencydoublingprinciple Frequencydoublingisaprocessofconvertingafundamentallaserwavelengthtoitssecond-harmonicwavelength.Itisanimportantprocessinlaserphysicsandtechnology.Thenonlinearopticalcrystalisthekeycomponentinthefrequency-doublingprocess.Thiscrystalhasahighnonlinearcoefficient,whichenablesastronginteractionbetweenthecrystalandthefundamentallaser.Theconversionefficiencyofthefrequencydoublingprocessisproportionaltothesquareofthefundamentallaserintensity. 3.Experimentalsetup Athulium-dopeddouble-cladfiberlaserwasusedasthefundamentallasersourceinourexperiment.Thelasercavitywasformedbya5-meter-longthulium-dopeddouble-cladfiberandtwofiberBragggratings.Thecentralwavelengthofthefiberlaserwas1.95μm,andtheoutputpowerwasabout2W.A10-mm-longperiodicallypoledlithiumniobate(PPLN)crystalwasusedasthefrequency-doublingcrystal.ThePPLNcrystalwasdesignedfortypeIphase-matching,anditsgratingperiodwas24.5μm. Thefrequency-doublingsetupwasplacedinsideatemperature-controlledchambertomaintainastablecrystaltemperature.Thefrequency-doubledgreenlight(λ=977nm)wasmonitoredbyapowermeterandanopticalspectrumanalyzer.Theconversionefficiencyofthefrequency-doublingprocesswascalculatedbycomparingtheoutputpowerofthefrequency-doubledgreenlightwiththeinputpowerofthefundamentallaser. 4.Experimentalresults Toinvestigatetheoptimalperformanceofthefrequency-doublingprocess,wevariedthecrystaltemperatureandthefundamen
