FOCTMeasurementPrinciple
FOCTmeasuresthemagneticfieldstrengtharoundtheconductortoobtainthecurrentflowingthroughtheconductor.TheFOCTsensoriscomposedoftwoparts,amagneticcoreandafiberopticcoil.Whenthecurrentflowsthroughtheprimaryconductor,itproducesamagneticfieldaroundtheconductor.Themagneticfieldpassesthroughthemagneticcoreandinducesanelectricfieldinthefiberopticcoil.Theelectricfieldcausesthelightwavetobemodulatedandtransmittedthroughthefiberopticcable.Finally,themodulatedlightwaveisdemodulatedandconvertedintoanelectricalsignalbythereceivingendtoobtainthecurrentinformation.
