Abstract:
Withtherapiddevelopmentoftechnologyandindustry,thedemandforindustrialdesignersinvariousfieldsisincreasing.However,theintegrationofindustrialdesignintoSTEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,andMathematics)educationhasnotreceivedsufficientattention.ThispaperaimstoexplorethesignificanceandchallengesofincorporatingindustrialdesignintoSTEMeducationandproposesuggestionsfortheestablishmentofindustrialdesignasaspecializedfieldwithinSTEMeducation.
1.Introduction
TheintegrationofindustrialdesignintoSTEMeducationisessentialforproducinginnovativeandwell-designedproductsthatmeettheneedsofvariousindustries.Industrialdesigncombinesaesthetics,engineering,anduser-centeredapproachestocreatefunctionalandvisuallyappealingproducts.ByincludingindustrialdesigninSTEMeducation,studentscandevelopaholisticunderstandingofthedesignprocess,technicalskills,andproblem-solvingabilities.
2.SignificanceofIncorporatingIndustrialDesigninSTEMEducation
2.1CultivatingCreativityandInnovation
