Abstract:
Aerobicdenitrifyingbacteriaplayacrucialroleinnitrogenremovalprocesses.However,theirinherentlimitationsindegradationefficiencycallforfurtherimprovement.Inthisstudy,weaimtoexplorethepotentialofultravioletmutagenesisinenhancingthedegradationperformanceofaerobicdenitrifyingbacteria.Throughanextensiveliteraturereview,weprovideanoverviewofthecurrentchallengesinaerobicdenitrificationandtheprinciplesofultravioletmutagenesis.Wethenpresentourexperimentaldesigntoinvestigatetheeffectsofultravioletmutagenesisonthedegradationperformanceofaerobicdenitrifyingbacteria.Theresultsindicatethatultravioletmutagenesiscansignificantlyenhancethedegradationefficiencyofaerobicdenitrifyingbacteria,pavingthewayforfutureapplicationsinwastewatertreatmentsystems.
