Abstract:
Thepresenceofantibioticsinfoodproductsisasignificantconcernduetotheirpotentialadverseeffectsonhumanhealth.Quinoloneantibioticsarewidelyusedintheaquacultureindustrytopreventandtreatbacterialinfectionsinfish.However,theirexcessiveusecanleadtothepresenceofresidualantibioticsinfishmeat.ThisstudyaimedtodevelopareliableandsensitivemethodusingHigh-PerformanceLiquidChromatography-TandemMassSpectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS)forthedeterminationof19quinoloneantibioticsinfishmeat.

1.Introduction:
Quinoloneantibioticsbelongtoaclassofbroad-spectrumantibioticsthatarecommonlyusedinbothhumanandveterinarymedicine.TheyinhibitthebacterialDNAgyraseandtopoisomeraseIVenzymes,therebypreventingDNAreplicationandtranscription.Quinoloneantibioticsareeffectiveagainstgram-negativebacteriaandarewidelyusedinaquaculturetopreventandtreatbacterialinfectionsinfish.
However,theimproperuseandexcessiveadministrationofquinoloneantibioticscanleadtothedevelopmentofantibioticresistanceandthepresenceofresidualantibioticsinfishmeat.Theconsumptionoffishcontaminatedwithresidualantibioticsposespotentialhealthriskstohumans,includingallergicreactionsandthepromotionofantibioticresistance.
Therefore,itiscrucialtodevelopaccurateandsensitivemethodsforthedeterminationofquinoloneantibioticsinfishmeattoensurefoodsafetyandprotecthumanhealth.ThedevelopmentoftheHPLC-MS/MSmethodallowsforthesimultaneousdetectionandquantificationofmultiplequinoloneantibioticsincomplexmatrices.
2.Experimental:
2.1ReagentsandStandards:
High-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)gradesolvents,includingmethanolandacetonitrile,wereusedforsampleextractionandpreparation.Analyticalgradewaterwasusedthroughouttheexperiments.Standardstocksolutionsof19quinoloneantibioticswerepreparedinmethanolataconcentrationof100µg/mL.Workingstandardsolutionswerepreparedbydilutingthestocksolutio
