CGCS2000,WGS84,andITRFarecommonlyusedreferenceframesingeodesyandsatellitepositioning.Understandingthedifferencesbetweenthesecoordinatesystemsandthemethodsusedfortheirconversionsisessentialinvariousgeodeticapplications.
CGCS2000(ChinaGeodeticCoordinateSystem2000)isageodeticreferencesystemestablishedbyChina.ItisbasedontheITRF(InternationalTerrestrialReferenceFrame)andincorporatesregionalgeodeticsurveysandgeopotentialmodeling.CGCS2000definesthegeodeticcoordinatesforChinaanditssurroundingregions.
WGS84(WorldGeodeticSystem1984)isaglobalreferencesystemdevelopedbytheUSDepartmentofDefense.Itprovidesaconsistentandaccurategeodeticreferenceforsatellitepositioning,navigation,andmappingpurposes.WGS84iscommonlyusedinGPS(GlobalPositioningSystem)andothersatellite-basedpositioningsystemsworldwide.
