Abstract:
Wirelesssensornetworks(WSNs)havegainedsignificantpopularityduetotheirwiderangeofapplicationsinvariousdomains,includingenvironmentalmonitoring,healthcare,andsurveillance.However,theunprotectednatureofwirelesstransmissionsmakesWSNsvulnerabletovarioussecuritythreats.Inthispaper,weproposeanovelalgorithmbasedonevolutionarygametheorytoenhancethesecuritydecision-makingprocessinWSNs.Thealgorithmadaptsthestrategiesofthenodesinthenetworkovertimetooptimizeoverallnetworksecurity.
1.Introduction:
Wirelesssensornetworksconsistofnumeroussmallnodesthatcollaboratetogatherandprocessdatafromtheenvironmenttheyaredeployedin.However,duetotheirlimitedresourcesandthepresenceofvarioussecuritythreats,suchaseavesdropping,jamming,andspoofing,thesecurityofWSNsbecomesacriticalconcern.Traditionalcryptographicmethodsarenotalwaysfeasibleduetotheresourceconstraintsofthesensornodes.Thus,thereisaneedforefficientandeffectivesecuritydecision-makingalgorithmsspecificallydesignedforWSNs.
2.EvolutionaryGameTheory:
Evolutionarygametheoryprovidesaframeworkforstudyingthedynamicsofstrategicinteractionsamongindividualsorentities.InthecontextofWSNsecurity,evolutionarygametheorycanmodelthedecision-makingprocessofsensornodes.Eachnodecanbeconsideredasaplayerinthegame,anditsstrategyrepresentsthesecuritymeasuresadoptedbythenode.Thefitnessofastrategydependsontheactionsofothernodesinthenetwork.
3.ProposedAlgorithm:
Theproposedalgorithmconsistsofthefollowingsteps:
-Step1:Initialization-Eachnodeinthenetworkisassignedaninitialsecuritystrategy.
-Step2:FitnessEvaluation-Thefitnessofeachstrategyisevaluatedbasedonthepayoffmatrix,consideringtheactionsofneighboringnodes.
-Step3:Selection-Nodeswithhigherfitnessvaluesareselectedasparentsforthenextgeneration.
-Step4:ReproductionandMutation-Theselectednodesreproduceandtheiroffspringinherittheirparents'strategies,whicharesubjecttosmallrandommutations.
