Methodology: Thesmallice-watercolumnmodelisaverticalcylindricalvesselthatallowsicesamplestobesubjectedtouniaxialcompressionwithcontrolledloadingconditions.Themodelconsistsofacylindricalacryliccontainerfilledwithsaltwater,whichisgraduallyfrozentoformice.Theicecolumnisthensubjectedtoaxialloadingusingahydraulicormechanicalapparatus,recordingtheloadanddeformationresponse.Variousloadingrates,temperatures,andsalinitylevelscanbeadjusted,providingacomprehensiveunderstandingoftheice'smechanicalbehavior.
