Introduction:
Inrecentyears,therehasbeenagrowingglobaldemandforhealthsupplements,naturalmedicines,andfunctionalfoods.Lingzhi(Ganodermalucidum)isawidelyrecognizedmedicinalmushroom,knownforitspotentialhealthbenefits.However,thereisanincreasingconcernoverthepresenceofhazardouselementsinLingzhianditsprocessedproducts.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethepresenceof10harmfulelementsandtracetheirsourcesinLingzhianditsdeepprocessedproductsinLishuiCity.
Methods:
1.SampleCollection:Atotalof100samples,includingLingzhimushroomsandtheirprocessedproducts,werecollectedfromdifferentregionsinLishuiCity.Thesampleswerecollectedinarandomizedmannertoensurerepresentativeness.
2.SamplePreparation:Thecollectedsamplesweredriedandgroundintofinepowder.Thepowderwasthendigestedusingappropriatemethodstoextracttheelementsofinterest.
3.AnalysisofHazardousElements:Theconcentrationsof10harmfulelements,includinglead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),arsenic(As),mercury(Hg),chromium(Cr),nickel(Ni),copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),manganese(Mn),andaluminum(Al),weredeterminedusingadvancedanalyticaltechniquessuchasinductivelycoupledplasmamassspectrometry(ICP-MS)oratomicabsorptionspectrometry(AAS).
4.DataAnalysis:Statisticalanalysiswasperformedtodeterminethemean,standarddeviation,andrangeoftheconcentrationsoftheanalyzedelements.Theresultswerecomparedwiththesafetystandardssetbyrelevantregulatoryagencies.
5.TraceabilityAnalysis:Totracethesourcesofthehazardouselements,factorssuchassoilandwaterquality,agriculturalpractices,andindustrialactivitiesweretakenintoconsideration.Fieldsurveysandinterviewswithlocalfarmers,suppliers,andmanufacturerswereconductedtogatherinformationaboutcultivation,processing,anddistributionpractices.
Results:
Theanalysisrevealedvaryingconcentrationsofthe10hazardouselementsinLingzhianditsdeepprocessedproducts.Severalsamplesshowedlevelsabovethepermissiblelimitssetbyregulatoryagencies.Thetraceab
