Abstract:
Aquaculturewastewaterisknowntocontainhighlevelsofphosphorus,posingasignificantenvironmentalconcern.Phosphorusrecoveryfromthiswastewatercanhelpalleviatewaterpollutionandprovidevaluablephosphorusresourcesforagriculturaluse.Theavianguanostonecrystallizationmethodhasshownpotentialforefficientphosphorusrecovery.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethepotentialandinfluencingfactorsofphosphorusrecoveryusingthismethod.
Introduction:
Aquaculturehasgainedsignificantimportanceasameanstomeetthegrowingdemandforfishandotheraquaticproducts.However,thedischargeofwastewaterfromaquacultureoperationsposesaseriousthreattowaterecosystemsduetoitshighlevelsofnutrients,particularlyphosphorus.Phosphorusisalimitedandessentialnutrientforplantgrowth,butitsexcessivereleaseintowaterbodiescancauseeutrophicationandsubsequentecologicalproblems.Therefore,findingeffectivemethodstorecoverphosphorusfromaquaculturewastewaterisofvitalimportance.
Methods:
Thisstudyutilizestheavianguanostonecrystallizationmethodforphosphorusrecoveryfromaquaculturewastewater.Themethodinvolvestheprecipitationandcrystallizationofphosphorusbyaddingaspecificprecursor,avianguanostone,towastewater.TheinfluencingfactorsinvestigatedincludewastewaterpH,initialphosphorusconcentration,reactiontime,andtemperature.Phosphorusrecoveryefficiencyisevaluatedbydeterminingtheconcentrationofphosphorusintherecoveredprecipitate.
Results:
Theresultsdemonstratethattheavianguanostonecrystallizationmethodhasasignificantpotentialforphosphorusrecoveryfromaquaculturewastewater.ThepHofthewastewaterplaysacrucialroleintheefficiencyofphosphorusrecovery,withanoptimumvalueobservedatpH6-8.Theinitialphosphorusconcentrationwasfoundtoimpacttherecoveryefficiency,withhigherconcentrationsresultinginincreasedrecoveryrates.Longerreactiontimesandhighertemperatureswerealsofoundtoenhancephosphorusrecovery.Addit
